Maa Skandamata

The Day 4 of Chaitra Navratri is falling on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. Today is Panchami Tithi of Chaitra Navratri 2025. Since Dwitiya and Tritiya fell on the same day on March 31, Chaturthi was observed on April 1, and today, April 2, marks Panchami.

On Chaitra Navratri Panchami, devotees worship Maa Skandamata, the fifth form of Goddess Durga. She is the mother of Lord Skanda (Kartikeya) and symbolizes motherly love, strength, and wisdom. Worshipping Skandamata on the fourth day of Navratri is believed to bless devotees with wisdom, prosperity, and salvation.

Who is Skandamata?

Maa Skandamata, the fifth form of Goddess Durga, is depicted with four hands, holding her son Kartikeya in one of them. She rides a lion and symbolizes motherly love, strength, and compassion. Devotees believe that worshipping her bestows peace, intelligence, and success in all endeavors.

Navratri Day 4 Colour: Royal Blue

The color of the day is Royal Blue, symbolizing elegance, strength, and serenity. Devotees are encouraged to wear royal blue attire while performing puja to attract the blessings of Maa Skandamata.
