When Narada went to propose marriage on behalf of the girl to Mahadeva, she got annoyed and then produced the Bhairavi from herself.
Finally Mata Tripura Bhairavi took the form of the shadow of Mahakali. Thus the text known as the Rudrayamal Tantra Shastra speaks of all the ten Mahavidyas as relative to the divine energy of Lord Shiva. The Devi Bhagavatam gives a description of Tripura Bhairavi as the calm and aloof form of Mahakali.
