The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has projected dense to extremely dense fog conditions for a few hours each night and morning across a large portion of Uttar Pradesh and isolated areas of Rajasthan up till January 30.
According to the IMD, similar conditions may prevail in certain areas of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh till tomorrow, and in Bihar till January 30.

It is quite probable that isolated areas of Bihar will see cold weather through Tuesday, while certain regions of Uttar Pradesh may experience the same circumstances through the next day, stated the weather agency.
It's also quite possible that isolated areas of Uttarakhand may see cold day weather till tomorrow.
It has also forecast rise in minimum temperatures by 2 to 4 degree Celsius over many parts of Northwest India during next four to five days.
Amid the prevailing cold weather conditions, concerns have been raised over the air quality index in Delhi. The air quality index in the national capital's Anand Vihar region was recorded as 357 in the early hours of January 28, which is categorised as "extremely bad".
