The ongoing week in Indian cricket has been dominated by talks of extension for men's team coach Rahul Dravid and his support staff, following the conclusion of the 2023 ODI World Cup in November.
The BCCI, on Wednesday, announced that Dravid and his support staff were given an extension and as per several reports, would remain in their roles until the T20 World Cup in June next year.
On Thursday, though, the 50-year-old said that he had not signed on anything yet and was awaiting the papers for future course of action.
Dravid, it seems, has found a way to distract himself from all the noise around his tenure extension after he was spotted with his wife Vijeta in Mysuru, watching their son Samit play for Karnataka against Uttarakhand in an U-19 Cooch Behar Trophy match.

A report on the Star of Mysore website said that Dravid declined any interviews, saying that he was like any other parent who had come to watch his kid play.
Samit Dravid bowled five overs on the opening day of the match, claiming figures of 0 for 11 as Uttarakhand finished the day at the score of 232 for 9 in their 90 overs.
He has had a productive time with the bat in the competition so far, having made half-centuries against Himachal Pradesh and Delhi, respectively.
