Snapdeal co-founder Kunal Bahl has joined the business reality show Shark Tank India for its fourth season.

Announcing the news on social media, the showmakers wrote: "From co-founding Snapdeal | AceVector Group to backing some of India's most promising startups with Titan Capital, Kunal’s entrepreneurial journey has been extraordinary. Now, he's ready to bring his passion for building and scaling businesses to the Shark Tank India stage! "

Currently, the panel of judges on the show includes Oyo founder Ritesh Agarwal, executive director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals Namita Thapar, boAt founder Aman Gupta, Peyush Bansal of Lenskart, and People Group's Anupam Mittal.

Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal no longer a judge on Shark Tank India

The season four of the popular reality show also saw the exit of Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal who had made his debut in season three and won hearts with his sharp wit and candid observations.

The development comes as Zomato's rival Swiggy works on finalising a deal to sponsor the upcoming season of Shark Tank India for Rs 25 crore. As part of the agreement, Swiggy wanted Goyal to not return to the show as an investor. Swiggy’s bid to block the Zomato boss from Shark Tank highlights the intensifying rivalry between the two companies, which compete in food and grocery delivery.

Reacting to this, Goyal said at the ET Startup Awards: "The startup culture of India is too much about showmanship. I went there to set a different narrative, be real and change how people perceive. I felt a moral obligation to go there. I shot for one weekend and gave my perspective. I, unfortunately, can’t go back because Swiggy sponsored Shark Tank and kicked me out, at least that’s what I heard.”
