Prime Minister Narendra Modi replied to R Madhavan's video, praising the new terminal of the Bengaluru airport.

International flight operations commenced at Terminal 2 of the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru from Tuesday with the arrival of Saudia airlines.

Actor R Madhavan, who was recently elected the chairman of the Film and Television Institute of India, praised the infrastructure at the newly-opened terminal of the airport on Thursday.

In an Instagram video, the 53-year-old actor said that the new terminal looked like an "exotic place" and showered accolades on its construction. "This is incredible what the infrastructure in India is becoming. I am at the new Kempegowda International Airport and it looks like an exotic, exotic place. Nobody will believe that this is an airport and all the plants that you see hanging from the ceiling in different parts of the airport are actually real plants, that are being watered everyday from ceiling," Madhavan said in the video.

The actor further said that the terminal was themed around sustainability and praised the work done to construct the terminal.

"A lot of this construction above me is all bamboo. It is all themed around sustainability in India. Very, very proud. Well done man," the actor added.

The actor's post got several likes and comments, but the most impactful reaction to his video came from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who, in a Instagram story, replied to the actor's video.

"Next gen infrastructure for India's growth," PM Modi wrote.
