Sunny Kumar, an 18-year-old samosa vendor from Noida, has achieved a stellar score in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2024. Kumar scored 664 out of 720 while juggling between his studies and running a samosa stall in Sector 12 for 4-5 hours daily.

Alakh Pandey of Physics Wallah, where Kumar got tutored online, recently highlighted his inspiring story through social media.

Pandey, in his videos, takes us through Kumar's modest rented room adorned with revision notes. Kumar's dedication is evident as he explains, “Maine sab kuch hi cover kar dia, isme short notes jaisa kuch raha nahi [I have covered everything; there’s nothing left like short notes in this].”

He also talks about the sleepless nights he spent studying, “Bahut baar sari raat padhai karta tha phir subah aankhein dard karti thi [At times, I studied all night, which caused pain in my eyes].”

The video also features a lighter moment, with Pandey enjoying a samosa freshly fried by Kumar. Reflecting on his daily routine, Kumar says, “Chhutti hoti thi, usme ek se do ghante ka time milta tha dukan lagane or chutti hone me [After school, I had one to two hours to set up the stall].”

Kumar says his father never supported him and he pleaded with his mother to get him an education.
