Jeff Bezos, Lauren Sanchez to marry in Italy this year, wedding invites are out: Reports

Amazon founder and the second richest person in the world, Jeff Bezos, is set to marry his fiancée and entrepreneur Lauren Sanchez later this year in Italy, multiple publications have reported. The couple have been engaged since May 2023. Bezos, 61, and Sanchez, 55, announced their relationship four years after the tech billionaire ended his 25-year marriage to wife MacKenzie Scott. Sanchez had split from her husband Patrick Whitesell in the same year.

According to Page Six, Bezos and Sanchez have started sending out their wedding invitation to guests  and the wedding is expected to take place on their $500 million yacht, Koru, off the coast of Italy. The wedding date, however, has not been revealed yet.

Bezos proposed with a 20-carat, $2.5 million pink diamond, Sanchez told Vogue. The former newscastersaid that Bezos proposed to her by hiding the ring under her pillow after an intimate dinner. She found it at bedtime after taking her makeup off, and her reaction was one of stunned disbelief.

“When he opened the box, I think I blacked out a bit,” Sanchez told the publication.

Asked if she would take her husband’s last name after the wedding, Sanchez said: “Uh, yes, one hundred percent. I am looking forward to being Mrs. Bezos.” But she acknowledges that marrying one of the world’s richest men will come with its own set of responsibilities and challenges.

“I think there are a lot of opportunities that come with that, and I take those opportunities very seriously. We always look at each other and go, ‘We’re the team.’ So everything’s shared,” said Sanchez.
