A student from Hyderabad recently shared her frustrating experience with Zomato on X (formerly Twitter), after receiving the wrong order. But what baffled Ananya more was their customer service agent’s response when she raised a complaint.
The 19-year-old had placed an order for Chicken Manchurian but was mistakenly delivered Chicken 65. Her chat with Zomato’s customer service, which included a somewhat amusing request for her to “try it” anyway, went viral after she posted the screenshot with the caption: “average Zomato experience.”
“We request you to please have it… We are sure you will love it,” read Zomato customer service agent’s response after checking with the eatery for a few minutes.
Ananya, a second-year Computer Science Engineering (CSE), just responded to the bizarre suggestion with two question marks.

The post has since garnered over 6 lakh views, 16,000 likes, and more than 250 comments, as users from all over India shared their own stories of wrong orders and amusing mishaps.
Among the more light-hearted responses were those from users unfamiliar with Hyderabad's famed dishes, with one commenting: “Some non-Hyderabadis are wondering what these dishes are. They have no idea what they are missing out on.” Others shared similar experiences, with one user stating, “Zomato be like: Goods sold will not be returned.”
While many users empathised with Ananya, others poked fun at their own experiences, including a story of ordering a veg sandwich for a friend and non-veg for themselves, only to receive two non-veg sandwiches. “They told me the non-veg one is more expensive, so why am I complaining,” the user added.
