Siddhant Chaturvedi who was last seen in the Netflix movie Kho Gaye Hum Kahan with Adarsh Gourav and Ananya Panday, took to his Instagram to reminisce about two years of Gehraiyaan. The Shakun Batra film, also starring Deepika Padukone, Panday and Dhairya Karwa, released on Amazon Prime Video on February 11, 2022.
In his Instagram post captioned ‘2 years of Gehraiyaan, seems like a lifetime ago’ along with heart and wave emojis, the actor has put up some Behind the Scene images and mini videos of the cast and crew. In one video, he can be seen doing an impromptu jog while the other images show the other actors and him chilling between takes.
The 2022 movie directed by Batra was a relationship drama between the four main characters ably supported by Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapoor in pivotal roles. The film received mixed reviews from critics with positive feedback for the soundtrack, performances and visuals. Some critics were not convinced by the storyline, but most people were unanimous in praising the performances, especially of Padukone. A key scene between her and Shah, who plays her father in the film, was noted by one and all.
Chaturvedi, who was last seen in Phone Bhoot in 2022 before the coming-of-age drama Kho Gaye Hum Kahan last year received his share of appreciation for Gehraiyaan as well. The actor who made an impressive Hindi film debut with 2019’s Gully Boy had made his first onscreen appearance with the web series Inside Edge and caught the eye of filmmaker Zoya Akhtar who then cast him in Gully Boy as MC Sher, the rapper who goes on to become Ranveer Singh’s mentor in the critically-acclaimed movie. He also gained many fans after an actors’ roundtable in 2019 in which he had a befitting reply for Panday’s take on nepotism and her struggles as an actor’s daughter. Chaturvedi is now preparing for the movie Yudhra.
