Black Eyed Peas music video 'Action' pays tribute to Indian cinema

The music video features scenes from Rajinikanth’s Enthiran and Ajay Devgan’s Singham, among others. In the action sequences, the faces of the actors are superimposed with the faces of Black Eyed Peas members will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo, using deep fake technology.

The latest music video launched by American pop-rap band Black Eyed Peas for their song 'Action' pays tribute to over-the-top action sequences used in Indian cinema.

The music video has been launched on YouTube, where it has already clocked more than two million views. The song description reads: “The Black Eyed Peas have been inspired by Indian culture from the beginning of our career...From Asha Bhosle to AR Rahman, Indian music has influenced our songs on more than one occasion…This video for ACTION shows our LOVE and appreciation for BOLLYWOOD and the imagination and awesomeness it brings to the screen...Thank you INDIA and BOLLYWOOD!!!”

William Adams aka will.i.am tweeted the video and shared how their songs ‘Elephunk’ and ‘Monkey Business’ were also inspired by Indian culture.”


Music composer AR Rahman retweeted will.i.am’s post and wrote: “The borders are blurring through art!”
