After a well-deserved hiatus, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is ready to dive back into the world of acting, much to the delight of her fans. Taking to her Instagram Stories on Saturday evening, Samantha shared the exciting news, expressing her eagerness to return to work after a period of focusing on her health. In a heartfelt video message to her followers, Samantha revealed that amidst her break, she embarked on a new venture with a friend — a health podcast.
Despite its unexpected nature, Samantha emphasised her deep passion for the project and her excitement for its upcoming release next week. She expressed hope that her fans would find the podcast both enjoyable and beneficial, highlighting her joy in creating it.
Last July, Samantha announced her hiatus from acting to prioritise her health to undergo treatment for her autoimmune condition, Myositis, which causes inflammation in muscles, and embark on a journey of self-care around the globe. Refraining from signing new projects, Samantha dedicated herself to wrapping up her existing commitments, including her collaboration with Vijay Deverakonda in Kushi (2023) and the Indian segment of Russo brothers' Priyanka Chopra Jonas-starrer web-series Citadel.
Samantha's return to the spotlight marks an eagerly anticipated moment for fans, following her last appearance in Kushi alongside Vijay Devarakonda. For multiple reasons, Kushi did not do so well at the box office, with a worldwide collection of Rs 75.35 crore. As she gears up to grace screens once again, her dedication to her craft and well-being continues to inspire audiences worldwide.
On the work front, Samantha has finished dubbing for Citadel which will be out soon. It is created by Raj and DK and has Varun Dhawan in the lead role. A couple of years ago, she signed Chennai Stories but according to the latest update, Samantha has been replaced by Shruti Haasan in this film. Samantha recently started a production house called Tralala, under whose banner she will be producing feature films.
