The Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Think Campus, located on Hosur road in Bengaluru received a hoax bomb threat call, causing panic among the employees a News18 report said.

Employees working inside the office were rushed out of the premises when they learnt about the bomb threat call. As per sources, the call was received in the B block of the campus on Tuesday morning.

Following the bomb threat call, police officials in the Parappana Agrahara area were informed and team visited the campus. A bomb disposal squad was also rushed to the location.

The members of the bomb disposal squad and the dog squad began searching for explosives inside the complex. Fortunately, following the inspection nothing suspicious was found inside the building.

Further investigations indicated that a former woman employee, from Hubli district of Karnataka, had made the bomb threat call. Investigations also revealed that she committed the act out of anger for the company. Police have started a hunt for the woman who made the call.

This is not the first instance in 2023 when a hoax bomb threat has been received in a TCS campus.

In May, a TCS campus in Hyderabad received a fake bomb call which led to 1,500 employees being evacuated from the campus.  The call at the Hyderabad campus had allegedly come from a former TCS employee in Bengaluru who was employed with the security wing and later sacked from the role.
