A young Amazon employee suffered a fatal cardiac arrest while greeting newlyweds at a wedding in Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district. The incident, captured on video, shows Vamsi losing balance just moments after handing over a gift to the bride and groom on stage.

Vamsi, who worked in Bengaluru, had travelled to Penumada village to attend his friend’s wedding. In the footage, he is seen smiling with a group of friends who present a wrapped gift to the couple. However, as the groom begins unwrapping the gift, Vamsi starts feeling uncomfortable and signals to his friends to hold him. The friends rushed to support him before he collapsed on stage.

Despite being immediately taken to Dhone City Government Hospital, doctors pronounced him dead on arrival, NDTV reported.

The incident has brought attention to the growing trend of sudden cardiac arrests among young Indians in seemingly routine settings. Medical experts link these incidents to a mix of genetic predisposition and lifestyle factors.

Diabetes, sedentary habits, stress, air pollution, heavy workouts, and the misuse of steroids can also lead to cardiac arrests.

Cases of people collapsing at gyms, workplaces, and social events are becoming alarmingly frequent. Doctors stress on the importance of regular check-ups and proactive heart health management to combat these risks.
