The Delhi Customs Office claims that the seized items have a combined market value of Rs 2.5 crore.

Sony PS5 India pre-order date remains unknown at the moment. Customers are struggling to pre-order the latest Sony gaming console as it flies off the shelves within seconds. As we wait for the next Sony PS5 India restock update, the Delhi Customs Office has seized 10 Sony PlayStation 5 units. Along with the console, the customs office seized 222 iPhone 12 models and 4,391 bottles of food supplements.

The Delhi Customs Office claims that the seized items have a combined market value of Rs 2.5 crore. These items shipped from Dubai were seized as they were declared as household goods.

Customers have been struggling to get their hands on the Sony PS5 gaming console in India. The company has officially hosted three Sony PS5 pre-order rounds via its authorised retailers in the country. However, owing to limited stocks, combined with the huge demand, the PS5 units go out of stock within minutes if not seconds.

The company has been working on making more units available for the next Sony PS5 sale date in India. According to a report, Sony held back on making more units available due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The company is said to make up for it during the third PS5 pre-order. It is likely to make more units available of its gaming console available in June.

Another reason to offer more quantities is the launch of a new Sony PS5 exclusive title. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart launches exclusively on PlayStation 5 in June. Sony would want to avoid any negative publicity of releasing its big first exclusive of the year without the availability of consoles.

Sony PS5 price in India is set at Rs 49,990, while the Digital Edition costs Rs 39,990. The main difference between the two consoles is that the latter lacks the Blu-ray disc drive.
