Realme has announced that it will launch the Realme 16 Pro Series in India on January 6, 2026. The upcoming smartphones will expand the company’s Number Series lineup and place a clear focus on camera performance and design changes. According to the company, the new series is aimed at users who prioritise portrait photography and everyday usability.

The confirmation comes through an official communication, which outlines the core highlights of the upcoming phones ahead of the launch event. While full specifications are yet to be revealed, Realme has shared early details around design philosophy and imaging features.

Design and build

The Realme 16 Pro Series introduces a new Urban Wild Design, developed in collaboration with industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa. Realme says this design language blends natural textures with modern urban elements, with an emphasis on comfort during prolonged daily use.

The smartphones will feature bio-based organic silicone material and curved surfaces intended to improve grip and handling. Realme has also confirmed multiple colour options inspired by nature, including Master Gold, Master Grey, Camellia Pink, and Orchid Purple. These finishes are positioned as part of the company’s effort to refine materials and in-hand feel within the Number Series.

Camera and imaging features

Camera performance is a key focus of the Realme 16 Pro Series. The lineup will introduce a 200MP Portrait Master camera system, which the company says is designed to deliver detailed portraits with improved depth and accurate colour reproduction.

The series will also debut LumaColor IMAGE, Realme’s in-house portrait imaging technology. According to the brand, this system balances light and colour to maintain consistent skin tones and realistic output across different lighting environments. To support this, Realme has set up the LumaColor IMAGE Lab in collaboration with TÜV R, aimed at standardising colour accuracy across its devices.

Launch timeline and availability

The Realme 16 Pro Series will be officially launched on January 6, 2026. Details regarding pricing, specifications, and availability in India have not been announced yet and are expected to be shared during the launch event.
