Cancer Treatment Services International, formed in 2016, is one of the large cancer hospital chains in India. It was acquired by medical technology company Varian Medical Systems in 2019. The company’s business model is focused on daycare chemotherapy, radiation therapy and diagnostics.
The contest aims to identify up to 25 best healthtech solutions from start-ups and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and provide pilot test beds in collaboration with state governments at primary health centres (PHCs), community health centres (CHCs), and industry to help their validation and scale up for adoption.

Siemens Healthineers and Nasscom's Center of Excellence for IoT & AI (internet of things and artificial intelligence) will work with the Indian startup ecosystem to make healthcare more accessible and affordable, the partners said in a joint statement.
The company, which has invested Rs 2,500 crore in its research and development (R&D) centre in Bengaluru, has also opened a new manufacturing plant with a capex of Rs 20 crore.
"The alliance aims to help hospitals, health systems, integrated delivery networks and other providers, deliver value-based care to patients with complex, chronic and costly conditions such as heart disease and cancer," Siemens Healthineers said in a statement.
