The date for inauguration was fixed as the Director General of Civil Aviation has accorded commercial flight operation licence to the airport, a release from the office of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said Friday.
The company received an order worth Rs 102 crore in November and has a major structural steel order from Kannur International Airport, Kerala. The overall order book of Pennar Industries stands at Rs 460 crore currently.
According to the present agreement, work to the tune of Rs 694 crore would be carried out, said Babu on the occasion of handing over site document to construction major Larsen and Toubro, who won the work contract for the airport project.
Despite winning orders of just Rs 2,300 crore in Oct-Nov, L&T believes the company is in line with its order book guidance. L&T has received orders in various segments and is quite satisfied with its performance.
