SUVs solidified their grip on the Indian car market in July 2025, with five models featuring among the 10 best-sellers. The Creta, Brezza, Scorpio, Fronx and Nexon drove the SUV demand.
The Hyundai Creta has outperformed key models like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra Scorpio, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, and Tata Nexon, in the SUV segment.
Replying to a question from Moneycontrol, Hyundai's Tarun Garg said that there is no over reliance on any one model.
The top direct rivals of this popular SUV are the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Kia Seltos and Tata Curvv.
The Creta rivals the likes of the Grand Vitara, Seltos, Curvv, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Elevate, Kushaq, Taigun and Astor.
Although hybrids are gaining traction in the Indian market, the growth has been relatively slow.
