India vs Australia 3rd T20I weather forecast and pitch report: The second Twenty20 International between Australia and India was incredibly one-sided, even though the margin of defeat may not show it. Only Abhishek Sharma showed the will to fight as the visitors were unable to adapt to the Melbourne Cricket Ground's increased pace and bounce. Although the Australians lost six wickets, the majority of them did so after the game was all but over, and a score of 125 was never going to be sufficient.
India has also gotten off to a poor start in the T20Is, similar to the ODI series. Before rain ruined the Canberra T20I, their top order did appear to be in excellent rhythm. However, the batters' one-dimensional approach with the bat backfired at the MCG because they were unable to adjust to the lively nature of the pitch. The only batter who best used the conditions was Abhishek Sharma.
It may be too soon to tinker with the combination after just one game, and with three matches still to go, India could be inclined to stick with the same XI in Hobart. However, they might consider strengthening the batting lineup and using Shivam Dube for a few overs, given that he surprisingly wasn’t handed the ball at the MCG. If India do opt for a change, Rinku Singh could replace Axar Patel, who also didn’t bowl in the second T20I. Arshdeep Singh, too, remains in contention for a spot.
It was a relatively comfortable win for the Aussies at the MCG but they will want a lot more from their middle order as they get their preparations going for the T20 World Cup next year. Glenn Maxwell has been added to the squad for the final three games and should slot into the XI in place of Matthew Short.

Adam Zampa is back in the squad, however there are still questions about his participation because he and his wife are still awaiting the birth of their child. Josh Hazlewood also takes a break for the remainder of the series. Mahli Beardman, a young all-rounder, has also been added to the team and might make his debut in one of the final three games.

With temperatures predicted to be in the mid-20s, Hobart is in for a fairly scorching day. There is very little probability of rain and moderate humidity levels are on the horizon.
Looking to keep the series alive, India will be playing their first game in Hobart since 2012. It will be all about adapting to the conditions quickly. The pacers may play a major role because cloudy skies are predicted for the night.
Hobart's weather is predicted to be generally cloudy, warmer, and free of rain, making it perfect for a complete game of cricket.
India vs Australia 3rd T20I: Hobart pitch report
The average first-innings score in T20s at Bellerive Oval stands at just 147, but evening matches have generally produced higher totals with the ball coming nicely onto the bat. Dew has often played a role, though statistically, the toss hasn’t had a major impact. Notably, Australia piled up 213 against the West Indies in 2024, albeit later in the season.
