Essential items for worship: It is essential to include betel nut, mouli, kumkum, akshat, Ganga jal, water in a copper pot, an idol of Lord Ram, desi ghee, incense sticks, sandalwood, flowers, fruits, sweets, camphor, a bell, and a puja thali when setting up your home temple.

Maintaining cleanliness: Ensure that the home temple is spotless and free of clutter by giving it a thorough cleaning, getting rid of everything that is out of date. Get rid of outdated garlands and flowers. Purify all images of deities in the temple to maintain positive energy, especially in the northeast corner of the house. Before the puja, exercise personal hygiene by bathing and dressing in clean clothes. Make sure everyone in the home follows this routine.

Procedure for Puja: Place the Lord Ram idol on the assigned altar and cover it with a red cloth. It is important to make a resolution for the puja at the beginning while holding water in your palms. Light incense sticks and lamps, and offer Lord Ram offerings of kumkum, akshat, sandalwood, flowers, fruits, candies, panchamrit, and kheer. Burn camphor to conclude the ceremony with an aarti.
