Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on May 15 hold a mega roadshow in Mumbai's Ghatkopar. The roadshow will cover a distance of 2.5 kilometre and will commence at 8 pm from Shreyas Cinema on LBS road and end at Gandhi market.
During the event, Modi will be campaigning for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Mihir Kotecha who is contesting from the Mumbai North East constituency in the ongoing Lok Sabha polls.
Ahead of Modi's roadshow, elaborate arrangements have been made by the Mumbai traffic police for commuters.
The LBS road will remain closed for vehicles from Gandhi Nagar junction to Naupada junction, and the Mahul-Ghatkopar road will remain closed from Meghraj junction to RB Kadam junction from 2 pm to 10 pm, the police informed.
The vehicular traffic will be diverted to the Eastern Express Highway, Western Express Highway, Andheri-Kurla Road, Saki Vihar Road, MIDC Central road, Santacruz Chembur Link Road (SCLR), Sion Bandra Link Road and Jogeshwari Vikhroli Link road (JVLR).

The Prime Minister's visit to Ghatkopar comes a day after he filed his nomination for the Lok Sabha polls in Varanasi. He also held a roadshow in Varanasi a day back and vowed to do a lot more to serve the holy city in his third term.
Meanwhile, a massive hoarding recently collapsed in Ghatkopar near a petrol pump, killing 14 people and injuring about 75. The incident occurred amid heavy rains and dust storms across Mumbai on the evening of May 13.
