The Centre on Friday released a series of Studio Ghibli-style portraits of Narendra Modi.

"Main character? No. He's the whole storyline. Experience through New India in Studio Ghibli strokes," the government said on X. The Centre  shared 12 Ghibli-style portraits of PM Modi.

The government  also shared a Ghibli-style recreation of the Prime Minister's meetings with US President Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron. The photos have been shared on the Instagram page of MyGov, the Government of India’s citizen engagement platform.

It also released a Ghibli-style version of PM  Modi in an Indian Army uniform and with the 'Sengol' that was installed in the new Parliament in 2023. The collection also includes a Ghibli-style rendition of PM Modi at the inauguration of Ram Janmabhoomi and his visit to Lakshadweep.

On Thursday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis shared a Ghibli-style animated video of himself on social media platform X, saying technology continues to surprise.

"That's my #ghibli style entry. Technology just doesn't stop surprising us pleasantly!" Fadnavis posted on X, tagging his wife Amruta as well as Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The video is in the distinctive animation style of Japan's famous Studio Ghibli.

A Ghibli art, pioneered by the Japanese studio, refers to images which feature pastel and muted colour palettes and elaborate details. The Ghibli-style AI images have captured global attention following a recent ChatGPT update by OpenAI.
