Ever since the Supreme Court announced its order related to the relocation of stray dogs in Delhi-NCR, protests have erupted from large groups of dog lovers, who have strongly condemned the Apex Court's decision.
A video that has gone viral on social media, a lawyer was seen in a fight with dog lovers, during which, he slapped one of them after pulling and thrashing him. The lawyer hit the man at least twice, before people intervened and mediated to stop the brawl.

The video of the fight, which has now gone viral on social media, is said to be from August 11, which was the day the Supreme Court pronounced the order. The video also showed people screaming and abusing the lawyers.
Meanwhile, Delhi Police on Monday detained animal rights activists, rescuers, caregivers, and dog lovers protesting in front of India Gate against the Supreme Court order to send all stray dogs in Delhi-NCR to shelters within 8 weeks.
Speaking to news agency ANI, a caregiver of dogs while being detained by the Police for protesting in front of the India Gate against the SC order said, "They don't want us to talk... I am being detained because I do the noble work of feeding animals."
While hearing a suo moto case against stray dogs attacking children on streets, the Supreme Court on Monday said the animals must be shifted away from residential localities and any organisation that blocks this exercise will face the strictest action.
