An aircraft installed as a symbol of the Indian Air Force (IAF) at the Aligarh Muslim University in 2009 had reportedly been listed on the online buying and selling portal OLX on August 3.
The aircraft was listed for sale for nearly Rs 10 crore. The university, however, clarified that the post is fake and means to defame the educational institution, according to a Livemint report.

"The post on OLX about the sale of the IAF aircraft installed in the campus is wrong. The Aligarh Muslim University has not taken any step to auction or sell it. We are looking into the matter," said Mohd Wasim Ali, AMU Proctor, adding that it is an attempt to defame the university

As soon as the post went viral on social media, the post was deleted from the website.
