Who is Anmol Bishnoi? Gangster wanted in Baba Siddique, Sidhu Moosewala murder cases

Anmol is the younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is accused of running a global criminal syndicate despite being in prison.

Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of infamous gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, was on Tuesday expelled by the United States, paving the way for his return to India.

Anmol was the mastermind behind NCP leader Baba Siddique's murder in Mumbai. He is also a wanted criminal in several high-profile cases in the country.

The US’ Department of Homeland Security in an email to Siddique’s son, Zeeshan Siddiqui, confirmed the deportation. "This email is to inform you ANMOL BISHNOI has been removed from the United States by the federal government. The offender was removed on November 18, 2025," the mail read, according to a report by NDTV.

The report said that Bishnoi is expected to arrive in India by November 19.

Who is Anmol Bishnoi?

  • Anmol Bishnoi is wanted by India in connection with several violent crimes, including Siddique's murder in October 2024 and that of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in May 2022. He is also wanted over gunshots fired outside Bollywood star Salman Khan's Mumbai home in April 2024.
  • Eighteen cases have been filed against him and he was added to the National Investigation Agency (NIA)'s most-wanted list last year, with a Rs 10 lakh reward for information leading to his arrest.
  • He was arrested by American officials in November last year, although not on charges related to criminal activities in India. Sources said it was for entering the United States illegally.
  • He is the younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is accused of running a global criminal syndicate despite being in prison.
