The Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) on April 10 slammed Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Bihar's former deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav for eating fish during Navratri.
The RJD leader had a shared a video of him eating fish during an election rally with Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahni. To be sure, Sahnis belong to the fishermen community.
Pouncing on the issue, BJP leader and Union minister Giriraj Singh called Tejashwi Yadav a “seasonal sanatani”.
“Tejaswi Yadav is a seasonal 'sanatani'. Illegal entry of Rohingyas and Bangladeshi refugees was allowed during his father's government to build a larger vote bank. They only use 'sanatan' for their politics."
After BJP turned Yadav's lunch into another controversy, the RJD leader hit back and said he was testing the IQ of BJP leaders and ‘godi media’. Yadav said the date is mentioned in the video and it was shot on April 8, which is a day before the start of Navrartri. He further said BJP will never raise issues of unemployment or migration and jump on non-issues.
This is what Yadav wrote in Hindi on his X post:
भाजपाइयों और गोदी मीडिया के भक्तों के का टेस्ट लेने के लिए ही हमने यह video डाला था और हम अपनी सोच में सही भी साबित हुए। ट्वीट में “दिनांक” यानि लिखा हुआ है, लेकिन बेचारे अंधभक्तों को क्या मालूम? आख़िर में सहनी जी द्वारा मिर्ची लगने का भी जिक्र किया गया है। https://t.co/SmQVLcQgyp— Tejashwi Yadav (@yadavtejashwi) April 10, 2024
