Employees at the Infosys Electronics City campus will have direct access to the station once the Yellow Line (RV Road - Bommasandra) becomes operational.

Metro plaza, now completed, connects the Infosys Foundation-funded Konappana Agrahara Metro Station (part of the Yellow Line) directly to the Infosys campus.

Moneycontrol reached out to Infosys, and the article will be updated once a response has been received.

"Employees need to swipe their cards at this plaza before entering or exiting the campus and can go directly to and from the Metro station," said a source.

A 372-metre foot overbridge connects station and campus. “This Metro Plaza, funded by Infosys, aims to enhance security for employees traveling by Metro. The station also has a separate entrance for the public,” said a source.

While BMRCL had earlier stated that the Yellow Line, which was supposed to be operational by December 2021, would be operational by January, it is now likely to be postponed to Q2 2025, as the first train from Titagarh Rail Systems is expected to reach the city only next month.

Infosys Foundation contributed Rs 115 crore for the station (Rs 100 crore for station construction and Rs 15 crore for the installation of platform screen doors).

The station will also have facilities such as half-height platform screen doors, an aesthetically pleasing façade, and space for exhibitions. The station is also likely to receive a green certification from the Indian Green Building Council.

The estimated daily footfall at the station will be 18,000-20,000. The daily ridership for the entire Yellow Line is expected to be 1.75-2 lakh.

Around 15,000-20,000 techies work at Infosys' 81-acre green campus in Electronics City. Infosys Foundation will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the station for 30 years.
