Mumbai police announced on Sunday that they have arrested the shooter, Shivakumar, along with two accomplices in connection with the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique.
The arrests were made following a joint operation with the Uttar Pradesh Police's Special Task Force (STF).
The three suspects are being transported to Mumbai for further investigation.
Baba Siddique was fatally shot on October 12 by three attackers outside his son, MLA Zeeshan Siddique's office in Bandra East.
He suffered two gunshot wounds to the chest and was immediately taken to Lilavati Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
