Selena Gomez made a show-stopping entrance at the 2025 Emmy Awards, turning heads the moment she stepped onto the red carpet.
With reports that that she and music producer Benny Blanco are planning to say “I do” later this month, Selena is juggling quite a lot—not just wedding planning, but also press for the fifth season of Only Murders in the Building, which returns with plenty of fanfare.
For the Emmys, Selena opted for full glamour, wearing a fiery red gown with a dramatic train that trailed behind her. She gave a vibe of elegance and confidence as she completed her look with stunning diamond earrings.
Her fiancé Benny was her date for the evening, as he proudly stood by her side, adding to the couple's special moment. He was spotted in a black suit. This is the first public appearence of the couple after Selena's pics from her alleged bachelorette went viral.
Though she wasn’t up for Best Actress this time, Selena still had a major role in the evening—Only Murders in the Building, which she executive produces, was nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series.
It’s a tough category this year, with shows like Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Hacks, Nobody Wants This, Shrinking, and What We Do in the Shadows also in the running. Still the nomination shows Selena's increasing impact as a creative force behind the scenes as well as a performer.
Speaking to Numéro about her experience filming season five, Selena reflected on her evolving relationship with her character, Mabel Mora. “I don’t think I personally experienced things in terms of challenge. I feel like I was able to become Mabel as I went along and grew up with her. And is a part of me now. I just enjoy the process,” she said.
She also spoke fondly of working with her co-stars, comedy icons Steve Martin and Martin Short. “I just enjoy their company. Even when I’m just sitting on set waiting for something to happen and they’re playing a game, there’s a comfort in that, and I feel very protected and safe around them.”
