Pearson’s PTE is one of the fastest and simplest tests of English amongst foreign-going students today. The test can be booked online 24 hours in advance, is computer-based, and is taken in a secure test centre. PTE can be taken at more than 445 PTE centres in 117 countries.  The scores are returned within 1.3 days on average, to assist in the fast-tracking of visa and admission applications. Last year, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) recognised PTE-Academic as an acceptable test for all SDS (Student Direct Stream) applications and PTE-Core as proof of English language proficiency for Canadian permanent residency or citizenship.
