The Department of Technical Education (DOTE), has released the results for the Government Technical Examinations (GTE) in Commerce Subjects, Typewriting, Shorthand, and Accountancy. Candidates who appeared for the August 2025 session can now check their results online at the official websites www.tndtegteonline.in and www.dte.tn.gov.in.

The examinations were conducted in August 2025 as part of the GTE Commerce series. The Typewriting exams (Pre-Junior, Junior, Senior, and High Speed) took place on 30 and 31 August, while Shorthand (Junior, Intermediate, Senior, and High Speed) exams were held on 23 and 24 August. The Accountancy (Junior and Senior) exam was conducted on 25 August.

As per the official data released by the Department of Technical Education (DOTE), a total of 1,80,743 candidates had registered for the August 2025 GTE examinations, out of which 1,74,567 candidates appeared. Of these, 1,10,884 candidates passed, recording an overall pass percentage of 63.52%. A total of 47,098 candidates secured distinction, 42,487 obtained first class, and 21,299 achieved second class. Meanwhile, 63,473 candidates did not qualify in the examination.

The notification for these examinations was issued on 22 June 2025, and online applications were accepted from 1 July to 28 July 2025. A brief data correction window was also provided between 30 July and 1 August 2025.

Candidates can check their marks using the following steps:

1. Visit the official website tndtegteonline.in or dte.tn.gov.in.
2. On the homepage, find and click the link titled “TNDTE Typewriting, Shorthand & Accountancy Result 2025.”
3. Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth (DD-MM-YYYY) in the required fields.
4. Click on ‘Show Result’ or ‘View Marksheet’ to see your result.
5. Download and save a copy of your marksheet for future reference.
