The city intimation slip for the UGC NET December 2025 exam has been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This document helps candidates start planning their exam-day logistics, marking the final countdown to the test scheduled from December 31, 2025, to January 7, 2026.

The city intimation slip is the first official document released ahead of the UGC NET December 2025 cycle. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the exam to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor positions in Indian universities and colleges.

The exam will be held as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) across multiple days and cities.

How to download UGC NET December 2025 City Slip?

Follow these steps to download your city intimation slip from the official website:

Step 1. Go to the official UGC NET website: ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

Step 2. Find and click on the link that reads 'UGC-NET December-2025: Click Here to Download City Intimation' on the homepage.

Step 3. On the login page, enter your Application Number and Date of Birth.

Ste 4. Enter the security pin (Captcha) as shown and click 'Submit'.

Step 5. Your exam city slip will appear on the screen. Download and print a copy for your records and future planning.

Key Details on the City Intimation Slip

The slip confirms the city where your test center will be located. It contains the following important candidate details:

  • Candidate's Name, Photograph, and Signature
  • Application Number
  • Date of Birth and Category
  • Date of the Exam
  • Allotted Exam City and State

Important Note: The city intimation slip is not your admit card. It only informs you of the city; the exact address of the examination center will be provided on the admit card, which will be released separately later.

UGC NET Exam Structure

The UGC NET exam consists of two papers taken in a single, continuous three-hour session without any break.

Paper 1 (General Paper): This paper assesses teaching and research aptitude. It consists of 50 questions worth 100 marks and is common for all candidates.

Paper 2 (Subject-Specific Paper): This paper tests in-depth knowledge of the subject chosen by the candidate during registration. It consists of 100 questions worth 200 marks.

There will be no negative marking in the exam. Each correct answer earns 2 marks, and no marks are deducted for incorrect or unanswered questions.
