The Rajasthan Education Department has released the RTE Admission Lottery 2026-27 today, March 12, 2026. With 6.34 lakh applications vying for seats in private schools, the lottery results will determine which children secure free admission under the Right to Education (RTE) Act.

The application window for RTE Admission remained open from February 20 to March 4, 2026. Parents were given the option to select up to five schools within their catchment area (village, ward, or gram panchayat) based on preference.

The overwhelming response of 6.34 lakh applications highlights the demand for quality education among economically weaker sections. Following the closure of applications, the department moved swiftly to verify documents and prepare the final list of eligible candidates for centralized online lottery.

How to check the RTE Lottery Result 2026-27?

Parents are advised to use only the official website to avoid misinformation. The Rajasthan RTE portal offers two primary methods to check the status.

Method 1: Check by School Location

This method is ideal for parents who want to view the entire list of selected students for a particular school.

Step 1. Go to the official RTE Rajasthan website at rajpsp.nic.in.

Step 2. On the homepage, click on the link labeled ‘School Admission Status’ or ‘Centralized Lottery Result-School Wise’.

Step 3. Choose the “By School Location” option.

Step 4. You will need to sequentially select your District, Block, Gram Panchayat/ULB, Village/Ward, and finally the specific School from the dropdown menus.

Step 5. Enter the Captcha code and click ‘Search’ or ‘View’. A list of selected students for that school will appear, where you can search for your child’s name or application number.

What Happens After the Lottery?

Getting selected in the lottery is the first major step, but it does not guarantee automatic admission. Parents whose children are selected must complete the following critical formalities to secure the seat :

  • Reporting to the School: Candidates must physically report to the allotted school within the specified deadline. The reporting window for the first round of allotment is expected to be from March 13 to March 21, 2026.
  • Document Verification: During reporting, schools will conduct a thorough verification of original documents. These include the Income Certificate (less than Rs. 2.5 lakh), Domicile Certificate, Caste Certificate (if applicable), Birth Certificate (Age Proof), and BPL Card (if applicable).
  • Final Admission: Only after successful document verification will the school confirm the admission on the portal and grant entry to the child.

If selected, remember that prompt reporting and proper documentation are the keys to converting the lottery success into a confirmed seat for the academic session 2026-27.
