Smallcap World Fund bought a stake worth Rs 66.96 crore in NCC, buying 36.15 lakh shares at an average price of Rs 185.23, which translates to a 0.58 percent stake in the infrastructure company.
Late investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala had invested in NCC. He first picked up stake in company through his wife Rekha in 2015 and in 2016 bought additional stakes in his name.
As per shareholding pattern till December 2023, Rekha Jhunjhunwala holds 11.24 percent stake in the company. Shares of NCC surged 9.21 percent to Rs 192.7 in the bourses.
On the other side, Tryrock Capital Trust, the insurance company that held a stake in Goyal Salt, trimmed their stake in the company. Tryrock Capital sold 1.92 lakh shares or 1.07 percent stake in the company at an average price of Rs 177.09.
The total value of the transaction came at Rs 3.4 crore. Tryrock Capital held 6.63 lakh shares or 3.7 percent stake in Goyal Salt as per shareholding data till October 2023.
Tryrock Capital previously sold 0.64 percent stake in Goyal Salt in November 2023. They sold 1.14 lakh shares at an average price of Rs 168.68.
The stock of Goyal Salt rallied 18.88 percent to Rs 204.95 in the trading session.
