In one of the recent high-profile property deals, Vineet Kapur, founder of O3 Plus Cosmetic and his wife Sonia Kapur have bought a bungalow in South Delhi for Rs 72 crore, according to documents accessed by CRE Matrix, a real estate data analytics firm.
The documents showed that the property, located in upscale Vasant Vihar neighbourhood, measures 6,160 square foot (663 square metres) of space.
The transaction was registered in the first week of April and the buyers paid a stamp duty of Rs 1.8 crore for the property registration.
Kapur had launched O3+ (O3 Plus) cosmetic brand in 2005 in New Delhi to cater to the salon industry and offer a premium range of skincare products for facials. The brand became popular at salons across the country.
Documents showed that Kapur bought the bungalow from an NRI Dalip Pathak. There was no immediate response from Kapur to queries sent to him.

Nestled in South Delhi, Vasant Vihar stands out as a sought-after, affluent neighborhood. This prestigious locale is particularly noted for its opulent bungalows, some of which have been acquired by notable business leaders. Characterized by their substantial size and high value, some property deals in Vasant Vihar have also command prices upwards of Rs 100 crore.
Big ticket deals
This is the latest in a string of notable deals in Delhi this year. In September 2023, Laxmi Devi Agarwal, wife of the promotor of GR Infraprojects Limited, Devkinandan Agarwal, had purchased a bungalow in Vasant Vihar for Rs 86 crore.
In April 2021, J C Chaudhry of Aakash Educational Services Ltd had bought a 2,000 square yard property for around Rs 100 crore.
In March 2023, a 2,160-square-foot bungalow was bought in the name of Vasudha Rohatgi, wife of former attorney general of India Mukul Rohatgi, in Delhi's tony Golf Links for Rs 160 crore.
In May 2023, Lenskart co-founder Peyush Bansal had purchased a house in Neeti Bagh, an upscale Delhi locality, for Rs 18 crore.
