DDA e-auction for luxury flats, penthouses: Key things you need to know about

The third phase of e-auction for 257 DDA flats will start on March 5. The reserve prices for a penthouse is kept at Rs 5 crore while for HIG apartments it is Rs 2.05 crore. The reserved price for MIG 2BHKs units is kept at Rs 1.2 crore.

Third phase of e-auction for DDA luxury flats to start from March 5

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) will start the third phase of e-auction of its luxury apartments including penthouses in Dwarka sector 19B from March 5. The authority has started the registration for the e-auction and the last date of registration is February 28, officials aware of the matter have said.

The Authority had conducted the first round of e-auction for 296 apartments on January 5, in which 274 apartments were booked while the second round of e-auction for 707 apartments was conducted on February 5.

The flats being offered through e-auction are part of DDA’s Festival Special Housing Scheme 2023, where 32,000 flats have been put on sale under different categories including penthouses, Super HIG (higher income group), HIG, MIG (mid-income group), LIG (lower income group), and EWS (economic weaker section).

Penthouses, Super HIG flats, and HIG flats along with MIG apartments are being offered though e-auction in different phases while the LIG and EWS flats are being allotted on a 'first come first serve' basis, officials have said.

Here are key things you need to know about the e-auction of the luxury and mid-segment DDA flats:

Number of flats

Under the scheme, as many as 257 apartments will be e-auctioned. There will be three types of flats on offer in the e-auction – penthouses, HIG flats and MIG flats. In the auction, the Authority is offering as many as 123 HIG 3BHK flats and 132 2BHK MIG flats. Two luxury duplex penthouses will also be part of the auction. The DDA has constructed only 14 penthouses, out of which only two are left.

Pricing

The reserve prices for a penthouse is kept at Rs 5 crore while for HIG apartments it is Rs 2.05 crore. The reserved price for MIG 2BHKs units is kept at Rs 1.2 crore.

Location

The luxury duplex penthouses and HIG apartments are located in a high-end housing complex in Dwarka sector 19B, overlooking an upcoming 18-hole golf course in Sector 24. The housing complex, with an estimated construction cost of Rs 700 crore, has 11 towers. The penthouses will also have terrace gardens, and the luxury housing complex in Sector 19B will have larger-than-usual green spaces. The 2BHK MIG flats are located in Dwarka sector 14.

The registration process

The DDA official said that the participants will have to first register on the e-auction portal, eservices.dda.org.in, and pay Rs 2,500, which is non-adjustable and non-refundable, separately against each flat they wish to bid.

For registration, applicants will have to deposit a certain booking amount or EMD. The booking amount is Rs 15 lakh for HIG and Rs 25 lakh for penthouses, while it is Rs 10 lakh for MIG flats.
