Bollywood filmmaker Boney Kapoor’s Bayview Projects LLP has won the bid to develop the Uttar Pradesh government’s International Film City along the Yamuna Expressway near the upcoming Noida International Airport in Jewar, officials aware of the matter told Moneycontrol.
They said that Bayview Projects LLP will develop the first phase of the 1000-acre project that is being established on 230 acres, in association with Noida-based developer Bhutani Infra.
The financial bids for the International Film City project were opened on January 30 at the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) office where Boney Kapoor’s Bayview Projects LLP in association with Bhutani Infra emerged as the highest bidder for the project.
According to YEIDA officials, a consortium of Maddock Films and Cape of Good Films LLP, music company T-Series, and film production firms of Bollywood filmmaker KC Bokadia also applied for the development of the Film City.
YEIDA has been given the responsibility to execute the project and develop the Film City along the Yamuna Expressway in sector 21.
