MG Select previews MG Cyberster with electric scissor doors, launch set for January 2025

JSW MG Motor India, under its newly launched luxury brand channel MG Select, has unveiled the first look of the MG Cyberster, a roadster claimed to be the world’s fastest MG model and the first in India to feature electric scissor doors.

The MG Cyberster reinterprets the classic MG B Roadster of the 1960s, incorporating modern technology and design elements. Its electric scissor doors are equipped with dual radar sensors to ensure safety during operation, providing sideways and upward protection while opening, according to the press release.

Additionally, an anti-pinch bounce-back feature enhances user safety when closing. The doors can be operated via the interior console, key fob, or door buttons, with an open-and-close time of approximately five seconds.

The launch of MG Select, the luxury brand channel by JSW MG Motor India, aims to cater to a niche segment of customers seeking innovation and purposeful experiences. MG Select will feature experience centers across 12 cities, focusing on sustainable and technologically advanced mobility solutions while drawing on the brand's legacy.
