In July, there is only one national holiday, i.e. Muharram. Both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) will be closed on July 17, 2024, to observe Muharram. This year, Muharram falls on July 17, and the BSE has issued a notification regarding the suspension of trade in the following sectors on this day: equity, equity derivatives, SLB, currency derivatives, and interest rate derivatives.

The NSE holiday calendar includes national and cultural observances in addition to weekends. Accordingly, the NSE will also be closed on July 17, 2024, in observance of Muharram.
