Nuvoco Vistas Corporation Limited announced that it has received a show cause notice from the Principal Commissioner, Income Tax, Mumbai-6, regarding the financial year 2019-20 on September 23, 2025. The notice pertains to a total tax demand of ₹4.36 crores.
The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
The notice alleges an erroneous denial of input tax credit amounting to ₹2.84 crores, without considering brought forward tax credit from FY 2018–19. Additionally, a duplicate demand of ₹1.47 crores has been raised for denying ITC on the same ground, related to differences between GSTR-2A and GSTR-3B. The total tax demand aggregates to ₹4.36 crores for the FY 2019-20.
Nuvoco Vistas stated that they will file an appropriate reply against the notice with the Excise & Taxation Officer, State Tax, Charkhi Dadri, Haryana. The company believes that the denial of input tax credit is incorrect and expects it to be set aside at the adjudication level, resulting in no financial impact on the company.
