Silver futures on MCX were trading lower, but spot prices gained in major metro cities in India. At 15:04 hrs MCX Silver September contract was trading at Rs 40274 down Rs 199, or 0.49 percent.
The Silver rate touched an intraday high of Rs 40740 and an intraday low of Rs 40200. So far 9317 contracts have been traded. Silver prices have moved down Rs 17045, or 29.74 percent in the September series so far.
MumbaiSpot silver 999 prices gained by Rs 300 at Rs 41510 per one kilogram.
AhmedabadSpot silver 999 prices rose by Rs 350 at Rs 40600 per one kilogram.
ChennaiSpot silver 999 prices advanced by Rs 400 at Rs 40800 per one kilogram.
DelhiSpot silver 999 prices gained by Rs 300 at Rs 40730 per one kilogram.
JaipurSpot silver 999 prices were up by Rs 350 at Rs 40800 per one kilogram.
