Tata Capital has allotted 14.24 crore equity shares to 135 funds at Rs 326 apiece, which takes the transaction size to Rs 4,642 crore, the circular showed.

Top domestic and global funds dominated anchor book of Tata Capital’s initial public offering (IPO) worth Rs 15,512 crore, with Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) emerging as the biggest investor.

The state-run insurance behemoth bagged 15.08 percent of the anchor portion worth Rs 700 crore at Rs 326 per share.

Apart from LIC, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund (MF), Nippon India MF, Motilal Oswal MF, Amansa Holdings, Nomura, Morgan Stanley, Government Pension Fund Global, and Goldman Sachs were among the top global and domestic institutions that participated in the anchor book, an exchange filing showed.

Some of the major investors and their anchor book portion:

ICICI Prudential Balanced Advantage Fund’s anchor book portion came in at 1.26 percent; HDFC Trustee Company LTD. A/C HDFC Large Cap Fund was at 1.89; DSP ELSS Tax Saver Fund at 1.52 percent; Aditya Birla Sun Life Trustee Private Ltd A/C Aditya Birla Sun Life Banking and Financial Services Fund at 1.4 percent; Morgan Stanley Investment Funds Asia Opportunity Fund at 3.15 percent; Goldman Sachs Funds- Goldman Sachs India Equity Portfolio at 1.12 percent; Amansa Holdings Private Ltd at 3.77 percent, Nomura India Investment Fund Mother Fund at 3.77 percent; Nippon Life India Trustee Ltd -A/C Nippon India Large Cap Fund at 2.69 percent; Motilal Oswal Large Cap Fund at 2.16; Whiteoak Capital Special Opportunities Fund at 0.15.

Tata Capital has allotted 14.24 crore equity shares to 135 funds at Rs 326 apiece, which takes the transaction size to Rs 4,642 crore, the circular showed.

The company's Rs 15,512 crore maiden public offering will open for subscription during October 6-8 in the price range of Rs 310 to Rs 326 per share.

At the top end of the band, the non-banking financial company (NBFC) commands a valuation of about Rs 1.38 lakh crore.

The IPO, comprising a total of 47.58 crore shares, includes a fresh issue of 21 crore equity shares and an offer for sale (OFS) of 26.58 crore shares.

Currently, Tata Sons holds an 88.6 per cent stake in Tata Capital, while IFC owns 1.8 per cent holding.
