Gurugram-based renewable power producer Juniper Green Energy has filed preliminary papers with the SEBI to raise funds up to Rs 3,000 crore via initial share sale for debt reduction.
The initial public offering (IPO) comprises of solely fresh issue by the company.
Before going to the public, it may consider fund raising up to Rs 600 crore via pre-IPO placement. If it manages to close the pre-IPO round, the fresh issue size will be reduced to the extent of the said amount.
Juniper Green Energy will utilise Rs 2,250 crore out of the IPO proceeds for repayment of debt, and the remainder funds for general corporate purposes.
"As of May 2025, we had outstanding borrowings (fund based) of Rs 5,894.3 crore, on a consolidated basis," said the company in its DRHP filed on June 27.

Juniper Green Energy claimed to be among the top 10 largest renewable independent power producers in India. It has commissioned its first solar project with a capacity of 100 Megawatts (MW) in March 2020 and has since then expanded a total capacity to 7,898.45 MW (10,069.58 MWp) as of May 2025.
Apart from solar projects, its portfolio also includes wind energy projects.
Juniper Green Energy that competes with listed entities like Acme Solar Holdings, NTPC Green Energy, and Adani Green Energy has recorded profit of Rs 40 crore for the year ended March 2024, against loss of Rs 12 crore in the previous fiscal. Revenue from operations grew by 18.2 percent to Rs 391.6 crore during the same period. In nine months period ended December 2024, its profit was at Rs 7.8 crore on revenue of Rs 351.6 crore.
ICICI Securities, HSBC Securities and Capital Markets (India), JM Financial, and Kotak Mahindra Capital Company are appointed as merchant bankers to handle the Juniper Green Energy IPO.
