Shiva Cement reported a weak set of Q2 numbers. In an interview to CNBC-TV18, RP Gupta of Shiva Cement discussed about the results and his outlook for the company.
Last quarters’ weak numbers are not true reflection of a company for the reason that capacity utilisation was below 30 percent mainly because of the annual shutdown, he said.
This type of shutdown during this expansion period may take place once or twice more because the principal focus of the new promoters, JSW Cement, is for implementing the expansion plan, he added.
For all the cement capacity, Shiva will be a mother plant supplying the clinker to the grinding units of the JSW, said Gupta.
