KEC International, an RPG Enterprises group firm, on Friday reported an eight percentdecline in consolidated profit after tax at Rs 20.30 crore for the quarter ended September 30.
The company's PAT in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal was Rs 22.09 crore, the company said in a filing to BSE.
KEC International also appointed former foreign secretary Nirupama Rao as an additional and non-executive director.
"KEC International...has appointed Ambassador Nirupama Rao (Retd) as an Additional and Non-Executive Director w.e.f October 31," the company said in a statement.
KEC International Chairman H V Goenka said, "We are delighted to have on board one of India's foremost civil servants and we are looking forward to gaining from her vast experience across geographies."
The infrastructure, procurement and construction major reported total income from operations at Rs 2171.68 crore compared to Rs 1777.96 crore in the same quarter previous fiscal.
Commenting on the results, the company's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Ramesh Chandak said, "Our top-line growth continues to be good and our focus is togradually improve our margins."
