Hero MotoCorp expects new bikes in the premium segment, namely Maverick 440, Harley Davidson X440, and Karizma, will perform well.

The world’s largest two-wheeler maker Hero Motocorp is confident of gaining more market share this financial year (FY25) helped by recent new launches in premium and 125 cc segments, the company management said on May 8 post its Q4 results.

“We are poised for accelerated growth in FY25 and confident that two segments -- premium and the 125 cc -- will see market share gains,” Hero MotoCorp’s management said in a post-results earnings call.

Hero MotoCorp declared a robust set of financial earnings for the fourth quarter, which were broadly in line with estimates. The two-wheeler maker has seen its market share dip in the last few years.

Hero MotoCorp expects new bikes in the premium segment, namely Maverick 440, Harley Davidson X440, and Karizma , to perform well. Further, the 125 cc segment, which includes Xtreme 125R, Splendor, and Glamour, is witnessing an impressive response, the company said.

The company, currently selling 10,000-12,000 units of Xtreme per month, expects this figure to grow to about 25,000 units in the coming quarters, as it plans to increase production and supply. “The Xtreme 125R is witnessing a strong pull across the country, and the company is swiftly ramping up supplies to ensure smooth deliveries,” it said.

Hero MotoCorp added that the positive sentiment around Glamour and Splendor is equally important for the company’s growth.

“We expect macro-economic factors to aid industry growth. With commodity prices remaining stable, expectations of normal monsoons, and government spending expected to increase, we see a host of tailwinds for the sector in the upcoming quarters,” Hero MotoCorp CEO Niranjan Gupta said.

In addition, the company aims to enhance its scooter line-up by introducing the Zoom 125 cc and Zoom 160 cc models in the coming months. “The coming year will see us taking big strides in EV through product launches in the mid and affordable segment and see a positive outlook for the coming years," it said.
