Yes Bank gets shareholders' nod to raise Rs 16,700 crore

"The shareholders have approved through special resolution to raise capital aggregating up to USD 1 billion (around Rs 6,700 crore) by issue of shares or convertible securities in one or more tranches in the course of domestic and/or international offerings," Yes Bank said in a filing to BSE.

    Private sector lender Yes Bank today said it has received shareholders nod for raising around Rs 16,700 crore through issuance of various instruments in one or more tranches."The shareholders have approved through special resolution to raise capital aggregating up to USD 1 billion (around Rs 6,700 crore) by issue of shares or convertible securities in one or more tranches in the course of domestic and/or international offerings," Yes Bank said in a filing to BSE.It further said that shareholders also approved through special resolution the proposal to borrow/raise funds in Indian/foreign currency by issue of debt securities including but not limited to non convertible debenture, medium term notes and bonds up to a total amount of Rs 10,000 crore.The bank held the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of shareholders, and its board also approved appointment of Ashok Chawla as Independent Director for a period of five years.
