Finance sector continue to dominate offers in IIM-C placements

The entire process was completed with 100 per cent placement for the batch within three days, which witnessed a total of 474 top notch offers including significant number of international offers.

    With an international package offer amounting to 90,000 Euros per annum, Finance sector continued to churn out maximum number of offers in the final placement process at the IIM-Calcutta PGDM batch of 2017.

    The highest domestic package was Rs 70 lakh per annum, a release issued by the Institution said.

    The entire process was completed with 100 percent placement for the batch within three days, which witnessed a total of 474 top notch offers including significant number of international offers.

    In the Finance sector, 29 percent of the total offers were made by top recruiters like Avendus, Edelweiss, Goldman Sachsa and HSBC, it said.

    The Consulting sector emerged as the second highest recruiter contributing to 22 percent of the total offers from Accenture, AT Kearney, Bain, BCG and McKinsey, the release said.

    There were 15 percent of offers from General Management firms like ABG, CK Birla and TAS, it said.

    Sales and marketing firms contributed to 12 percent of the total offers given by the HUL, ITC, P&G and Reckitt Benckiser, the release said.

    Besides, e-commerce and IT firms contributed to 14 percent of the total offers and companies like Amazon, Wipro etc hired in big numbers.
