Everyday your skin battles dust, heat, stress, and sleepless nights. These daily skirmishes can surely leave the face looking dull and tired. Day-to-day exposure to pollutants, UV rays, and environmental stressors can cause early aging, dryness, or breakouts. According to dermatologists, neglecting skin care creates a ground for worsening these issues; it ferments the problems with your skin in the long run. Proper care maintains your skin's health, helping you get it fresh, clear, and resistant.

You need a good skin care to help you maintain health and vibrancy. If you are not the one to go for expensive products and crazily complicated regimes, spices can be your answer. The spices in your kitchen may have sensible, effective natural remedies for everyday skin problems.

Here are 5 spices that can help revitalise your skin and keep it fresh:

Cinnamon: Cinnamon is not just for your latte but is also a powerful skin-care superstar. This spice is anti-inflammatory, which helps reduce redness and puffiness. It also boosts circulation, which is very good for the skin. Mix a pinch of ground cinnamon with honey, and apply it to your face and leave it for 10 minutes; cleanse with warm water. This mix will be great as a mask that renews dull skin and diminishes acne.

Salt: Sea salt helps in exfoliating the skin by getting rid of dead cells and unclogging pores. It may assist in balancing the natural oil of the skin through its mineral content. Mix the salt with olive oil or yogurt and apply it on the face and let it rest before you rinse it off. It helps to remove impurities and lend a clearer skin.

Turmeric: Due to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, turmeric tops the list of spices that can help fight skin issues. It aids in removing redness, lightening dark spots, and generally improving the skin tone. Mix this spice with yoghurt for a brightening face mask. Apply the mixture to your face for 15 minutes before rinsing. The mask can be used for calming irritated skin.

Aaamchur: Aamchur or dried mango powder is rich in vitamins as well as antioxidants, which can work wonders for acne. Its natural astringency can help in tightening pores while reducing excess oil. Mix aamchur with a little water to form a paste and apply onto blemishes. Leave it on the face for 10 minutes and wash. It helps dry out pimples and cures dry skin, which eventually promotes clearer skin.

Black pepper: This spice contains piperine,  an antioxidant content. It is  helpful in detoxifying the skin and also in reducing skin pigmentation. Mix grounded black pepper, either with honey or yogurt, and use it as a scrub. Apply this scrub to your skin and massage gently in circular movements before rinsing it off. This scrub can rejuvenate your skin and reduce dark sports. However, avoid using it if you have fresh scars or pimples.
